On October 11th, 2025, the Governer of California approved state law AB-1263.
This law requires anyone selling “[a]ny…device, tool, kit, part, or parts set that is clearly designed and intended for use in manufacturing firearms” to collect extensive information about California customers prior to sale.
This includes identity verification, age verification and proof of compelled speech.
Rather than collect this information on behalf of California politicians, 3D Print Freedom has elected to cease sales to the State of California.
AB-1263 also criminalizes “knowingly or willfully aid[ing], abet[ting], promot[ing], or facilitat[ing] the unlawful manufacture of firearms.”
This extraordinarly vague definition creates an unmistakeable speech crime, a violation of both the US First and Second Amendments.
Despite California politicians’ tyrannical pretenses, it remains a US Constitutional right, and more importantly a human right, to keep, bear and make arms, as well as to discuss this subject freely and without censorship.
